Cost of living and meals

The student card can be obtained through SAMO by becoming a member of the student union. The student card is a way to prove your eligibility for student benefits and discounts.  Degree students can get discounts from Finnish National Railways (VR), bus transportation companies (Matkahuolto) as well as at some restaurants, department stores and smaller shops.

Each school has a restaurant nearby where lunch is served to students at subsidized student prices.

Accomodation at Seinäjoki

Seinäjoki has an abundance of student housing around the city. The SEVAS company (website) offers housing services to students in Seinäjoki as well as assists international students with their housing arrangements. The housing services include a utility room, saunas and other places to gather.

Each apartment has a broadband Internet connection. Students must apply for accommodation with an online application form, which can be found on the website of SEVAS. Local real estate agents also offer flats to let.
